Jane Russill
Jane Russill has been involved in the Foodservice Industry for the past 31 years.
Jane qualified from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg with a BSC Dietetics, and chose to pursue a career in the contract food service industry with an international company, specialising in Operations Management and later in setting standards in terms of food safety, occupational health & safety, and reputational risk in this diverse market segment.
Jane left the foodservice industry in 2007, to pursue a career in consulting and training of food safety management systems and auditing standards, and then joined Bidfood, the 2nd largest global Food Distributor in the latter part of 2009, as Quality Risk Executive overseeing supplier compliance, internal operations implementation of formal Good Distribution, OHS and Risk standards as well as new product development of Bidfood Private Label and Exclusive brand products with both local and international suppliers.
Jane has an in-depth working knowledge of the requirements of food safety management systems, prevailing legislation, and the impact on the food service industry both as an operator and a supplier and works collaboratively with industry bodies, regulators, manufacturers, and customers to ensure that the requirements are practically implemented and applied for the ultimate benefit of the end consumer and mitigation of any reputational risk for the Bidfood group.Sessions
